We believe good food starts with strong local roots. Our mission is to support and sustain local agriculture while building meaningful connections between farmers and the community. We’re passionate about making fresh, locally grown food more accessible to everyone, sharing knowledge about sustainable farming and regional food systems, and growing the resources needed to keep this work thriving for years to come.
Supporting Food Security in Durham
We’re currently raising money to support the Durham Farmers’ Market's Double Bucks program, a nutrition incentive program that provides a dollar-for-dollar match for SNAP/EBT, SUN Bucks, WIC, and FMNP benefits. Your donation supports our neighbors with limited income in purchasing fresh food while enhancing the economic resilience of our local farmers.
In 2025 the Durham Farmers’ Market supported:
355 participating households
$60,112 in SNAP/ cash match tokens distributed
$86,810 in Double Bucks distributed
$163,726 spent with small farmers at the Durham Farmers Market
